Alison Ann Sweeney, an American actress and director of reality TV shows is also a scriptwriter. Sweeney is best known for her role as Samantha Sami Brady on the NBC soap show Days of Our Lives a part she was contracted to play with the show beginning on January 6, 1993 until October 30 2014. Sweeney finally decided that she was fed up with popular fads such as grapefruit diets and cabbage soups in 1999. Sweeney stopped diet-related fads such as grapefruit and cabbage soup. She made healthier choices by reducing sugary beverages and began to exercise in boot-camp type gym classes. And the results? She lost close to 30 pounds. Sweeney has two brothers and is Irish.
